I love these shorts. This is my first time trying Shebeest. Wish I hadn't waited to long. I've been cycling for over 25 years and these are the most comfortable shorts I've ever owned. The pad is the perfect thickness, it's soft, seems to breathe well, and is extremely comfortable. The fabric is comfortable. The grippers are great, the shorts don't ride up even a little bit. I was afraid the way the edges of the pad come out that it might bunch up in the outer groin area, but it doesn't. The only minor complaint I have is that something about the fabric has an appearance of looking a little sheer when I'm wearing the shorts. The sizing information seems to be accurate. I'm 5'2 and weigh about 112 lbs and am wearing smalls.
Like the longer legs to protect against too much sun. Though the pad seems fairly thick it does provide comfort on very long rides. I found the bulkiness went away after a few washing. Seemed to soften up. Like the light weight fabric. Legs stay in place. Actually quite impressed with the shorts. I have been loyal to Pearl Izumi for many many years but I'm very impressed with these shorts.
I wore these shorts for a nine-day, 400 mile, bike tour, with rides varying from thirty miles of sunny-and-cool to sixty miles of hot-and-sweaty and forty miles of wet-and-miserable. They were comfortable throughout. LOVE THEM!
These are pricey, but absolutely worth it. In nine consecutive days of bike touring, I didn't have a single complaint with the shorts. They stayed comfortable. The fabric choices are excellent-stretch where you need stretch-and the chamois has just the right amount of padding.
