This is by far the best helmet mountable rear bike light I have found. It has several features I really appreciate, the magnetic attachment, USB rechargeability, and the ability to attach it to the back of my helmet. I highly recommend this product, it has given me a third option for nighttime visibility.
I have this light mounted in the back of my Giro MIPS Synthe helmet and it worked well in my night rides. It will not replace your regular full size tail lights, but as you know the more lights the better. It is almost invisible in bright sunny day.
The good part about this light is its strong magnet. I just pulled it out for charging and it snap back in to install. I rode on several pretty rough trails, but the light stay put. No worries it will fall of at some point.
I bought this as a safety light to mount on my helmet when riding my road bike. It was a little tricky to mount, but this is mainly due to the design of my helmet (no real flat area on the back). With a little effort, I managed to get it mounted. The magnetic attachment between the light and the base works well. I imagine it could come loose in a crash - most of my crashes are on my mountain bike, so I do not use the light when riding off-road.
I like the usb charging - it charges fast and the battery lasts many rides before need to be charged again.
Overall a good product at the right price.
This light easily attaches to your helmet to provide an extra bright beacon light to be seen by drivers. I leave the attachment on my helmet and just take off the light, which clamps by magnet to the attachment, so I can charge it. Sometimes we go riding and forget one of our lights for whatever reason, but this light I charge in my suvs USB so I always have it after driving my bike to different bike club start locations. I would buy again.
I like the mounting hardware, the magnet for quick removal. The onoff works but could be better and I feel I will loose the rubber USB protector but overall a great choice for a rear helmet light.
