I use this little monster as a daytime blinky. Mounted to a fork blade, it lets oncoming traffic see me without getting blinded or needing to look away. In short, the Asteroid communicates my approach in a healthy and helpful manner.
The battery works well and lasts for 100+ miles before requiring a recharge. I cannot comment on the nighttime pros and cons yet because I use more powerful headlights for that purpose. For under $30, the Asteroid is a valuable piece of my safety gear lineup.
I use this lamp as a flashing light on my right fork-blade to make my bike for visible when commuting to work in the early morning or when going on night club rides. I charged it up via a USB and it works well, easy to attach to the fork blade and stays put (no sliding around). Overall a fairly simple light that works well and doesn't cause any trouble!
Brite & Tiny,easy charging
The smartest little bike light I ever had. There is no switch just to turn onoff tap lens twice. Extremely long run time and charges very quick. Never leave home without this one.
Positives - Form factor, lens and brightness of the unit. It charges quickly and hold charge very well. Negatives - very sensitive to moisture, the 'double-click' lens is glitchy... It will sometimes unintentionally switches modes with even the most glancing of touches on the lens.
