Theses bibs are very adequate and good for cool weather. I would not advise for weather below 32 though. They are not quite thick enough to handle a ride in frigid weather.
I really like the way these fit, I'm 5'9 and about 220 lbs and the XL fit beautifully, they are technically designed for someone taller but the extra length of the legs doesn't bother me. The shoulder straps are positioned better than other bibs I've owned, while others seem to want to roll off the shoulders these stay in place right around the midpoint.
These seem to do a good job of blocking the wind, they're rated for 45 to 55 degrees but I've worn them in the mid to upper 30s after dark and stayed warm enough. The legs do get chilly but as long as you keep your cadence up it's not too bad. I've also hit some unexpected wet sections of road and the spray didn't effect me much.
The only thing I might want improved is the chamois, being a heavy rider I would prefer denser foam but for the price I can't complain much.
Warm, fits great

These pearl Izumi bib tights are well-made and have already held up for a few months with many miles. The reflective striping is great as well as the zippers above the angles. The chamois padding could be thicker however.

OK so I read the reviews and saw how people mentioned they were tighter than most others but I still bought a Large. BAM. They are tight!
I think they'll stretch a bit a the more I wear them but buying a size up would be a good idea. I've worn them into the low to mid 20's and the warmth rating seems good, although I did wear a light first layer for the boys.
Awesome quality from PI Fit great and comfortable. Form and function tops.
