I have several pairs of shoes, but I usually find myself wearing my Rapha PowerWeave and Lake MX241. But sometimes I get tired of always wearing so much shoe. Something lighter sounded nice. Something cooler sounded nice. Something not too expensive sounded nice. I liked these because they are compatible with two bolt cleats, have a carbon sole, but skipped all the usual rubber tread of a MTB shoe. I wear a 42 in just about everything and a 42 in these is perfect. I switch all of the insoles in my cycling shoes to Specialized Body Geometry footbeds so I can't comment on the comfort of the ones that came with the shoes. In my experience, everything that Pearl Izumi sells is on the small side, but surprisingly the length of these is really a 42 and there is enough room for my toes. I am not a racer, but I do appreciate stiff soles. These are not stiff by any means, but I have not had any pain so I cannot complain. The green looked a little loud on the web page, but I am happy to say that while they are definitely green, they are a muted green that runs towards gray. At 40 percent off these were a great deal.
Replaced a specialized boa shoe. These close more easily and are quite snug. Fine for longer rides. 45 works for me, I am 10.5 but often 11-11.5 in sport shoes.

My 1st road shoes with BOA. Love them so far. Lightweight and easy on/off.
Well I use these shoes to clip into my pedals and then ride my road bike around Tucson and vicinity. They are comfortable and firm. 44 fit perfectly
