Great winter cycling essential. Size is right on to American boxer shorts. Pad is not too thick, but protects well. Legs are extra long, lined with fleece, spandex outside is wind proof. They are good down in 30s temps, and not to hot up to low 50s.
As someone who has ridden Pearl Izumi’s bibs for years I don’t understand this chamois. It bunches up in the crotch. After just a couple of rides I’ve worn cuts all the way through on both sides of the centerline on two different bibs. Just terrible.
My other cycling bib tights were too tight even though I sized up. This fit to size, in the large size for me. They are not skin tight which is good for my recreational cycling. Did the job for cool weather cycling. The shoulder straps are wide and comfortable.
These make riding in the Pacific Northwest winters comfortable. They are way more water proof than I expected, the pad is very nice, and they are wearing VERY well. I ride in all weathers which often means high 30's and rain around here. These really do the job!
Good quality bib tights, wore them down to just below freezing. Good quality chamois. My only complaint would be the bib straps are just raw elastic and have a lot of stretch. Some people would see this as a plus in terms of comfort. I would like something a little more substantial and supportive. However they were fine during my ride so I am probably used to a tighter bib strap.
