Functional design. It will reach the crevices my other brushes can't. Well made.
This is truly a quality tool I've needed for many years. This brush & gear teeth are perfect for cleaning my rear cassette, derailer & idler wheels. Beats heck out of the toothbrush & Q-tips I've used till I got this tool. It doesn't leave fuzzy cotton between gears like the Q-tips did.
Works great and seems to be holding up. better than the old utility brush i had laying around for detailed scrubbing around cassettes, derailleurs, and other nooks and crannies. I like the teeth on the backside for 'flossing' out grasses and other stringy material out from between gears.
Works as advertised.
Essential tool for cleaning the cassette.
This isn't fancy, but it sure is designed well for its purpose. I can get in between the cogs with either the brush or the plastic toothy end of the tool, helping to keep my drivetrain clean. It is durable. The bristles are pretty stiff, so don't worry about fraying them with aggressive scrubbing. A well-placed hole allows me to hang it from my peg board in the shop area of my garage.
It only takes a moment to brush the crud out of the gears.
Awesome stiff brush for my drivetrain cleaning. The only way to roll is with a bling bling drivetrain.
Having this tool in your arsenal is critical for keeping your free wheel and other parts free of road grim.
I like this because it allows me to do a very thorough cleaning of bicycle cogs. Even with regular chain cleaning, winter riding can gunk up the cogs and rear derailleurs, so this tool is great for getting to the hard-to-reach places.
Something you don't think you need, but you do. Cleaning between the cogs on the back with the "hook" on the brush is really nice.
Great brush. What more to say?
I purchased the GSC-1 cleaning brush with the Park Tool CM-5 Chain Cleaner. A great combination of tools to make those bike parts sparkle.
Does the job better than anything else I've tried. Along with a small amount of degreaser, the combination of stiff bristles and scraper work well in getting buildup off the cogs.
Works a whole lot better than the comination toothbrush thing I was using before. I'd recommend it!
Bristles are stiff and long enough to get out caked on grease on both cassette and between the small and large chain rings.
Not sure if the toothed semi-circle thingy is all that useful.
