Have three different Ortlieb mounts for different bicycles so that I have more options for using the bag on either a touring, club ride or city bike.
Directions are excellent and it takes very little time to install. Once on the bars, this mount is very secure. Have had these mounts and the Ortlieb handlebar bags for years and have never had a problem - they just work well!
My Ortlieb handlebar bag fits perfectly on the second mounting set, so I can share one bag between two bikes. Saves from buying two bags.
Holds the ortleib bag just fine, but it's a quirky way to install a bar bag. Takes a lot of time to remove and reinstall. Nonetheless, it held a heavily loaded bag on class 4gravel runs just fine.
I bought this for touring with my folding bike. Sure hope it will pack into the suitcase for travel without removing as it is not eat to get on and off. I do like the locking feature.
