I use this light as a daytime running light in both group and solo rides. I replaced a Specialized light with this one because it stopped working in cold weather (20 degrees F) and would not turn on again. My previous Night Rider worked for years without fail, regardless the temperature. So far this new one is as reliable as the last one.
