These tires hold up well to wear and punctures-great for commuting on streets to avoid flats
Very nice riding tire, can't beat the price.
I use these tires to commute to work on bike trails and city streets so far so good 200 miles thus far.
I weigh 245 plus gear these tires are seeing 260 went with 38 and 40mm widths since I was breaking spokes even with HD rim.
No broken spokes now.
Handle well on ice patches and shed road dirt well
I ride mostly on the road but go off the road occasionally. The tires improved the quality of my bike, although it is not a very expensive one.
This is the 2nd set of these tires true to size just plain good tires
I replaced the 700x32 stock tires on my Giant Escape with these Michelin Protek 700x38. I went with wider for better comfort. I only put about 100 miles or so on them and the grip and roll resistance is really good. Install was a breeze. I think its a great deal for under $20 each. I ride recreationally 3-4 times a week on paved road.
I have ridden over 24,000 miles; mostly in Colorado, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I have used a number of different tires along the way. These tires perform as well or better than any I have used. The reflective strip is a nice touch that really "lights up" in a car's headlights and makes me feel a bit safer.
1. My wife says rolls easier, less pedaling effort, not out of breath anymore, than original Kenda tires. 2. Sturdily built, was easy to install. 3. Very reflective circular stripes. All tires should have this safety feature! 4. Bought Michelin Protec Max tubes also, noticably thicker than original tubes. Overall a great combo. Tires actual measure 38mm (inflated).
This is my second set of these and they are great. A nice wide city tire that works with fenders on my commuter Raleigh. The reflective sidewalls add a level of safety but still look nice. They hold up well and are good year round.
Nice and quiet ride. Cornering is sadly mediocre, but still better than what Schwalbe's doing in this style. I don't know why tire makers have recently decided we only ride in straight lines now. I won't really know how the thorn protection is until I pick up some thorns, but I haven't had a puncture in the first couple hundred miles, even though I've definitely ridden through broken glass a few times.
I bought this tire for a particular bike I intended to sell. The tires were sharp and clear in logo and made the bike stand tall and ready for the trail. The tire very closely resembled the OE and I could not have been happier with them. A good selection all round!
Good replacement for stock tires that usually come with the bike. Extra layer of protection that helps to avoid flats. Note - this tire is a bit wider that the usual expected tire size. Not a drawback, but an observation.
So far, so good. I got this for my steel commuter. I'm rocking 700x35 and I ride ~16 miles a day and got them about 4 months ago...no flats so far. I haven't ridden much in wet conditions yet. I'm curious about how they'll perform this Portland winter. We shall see.
Being I have used Michelin City tires on my Mountain Bike that I put some 700 plus miles to date with excellent results. That is no punctures. I decided to change my tires on my road bike to these tires going from 700x28 to 700x32, thus allowing me to enjoy more bike paths that often have gavel or dirt based roadways with the peace of mind. Only con I have is the overall diameter of these tires was much large than I accounted for, being I have rubbing my brake levers issues on my front wheel thus having to take care that I install it so to avoid the rubbing.
Just what I needed to feel safe and secure on my city streets. Put them on a Cannondale Quick.
Put these tires on my cross bike. I no longer compete but use the bike for casual surface street rides.
Used the tires on my bike to replace worn tires
It was good to find a tire that is pliable and durable
This is a fine tire and it's not made in China. Delivery was prompt and on schedule. I installed it myself (1st time I've done that) and saved lots of money.
Went with Protec 38 mm 700c but sidewall stated it was rated 40mm. Not sure why some manufacturers ocassionaly do this, but caused no clearance issues on my Sirrus Elite Carbon. This Protec 3840 tire is a replacement for the factory 30mm. A nice improvement on tar & chip, light graveldirt and rougher streets. They give up a little speed to the previous Specilized 30 Espoir but not a lot. I like this tire and the size is a good match for my fitness and city adventure riding style.
