I have found that using a 100 gel pre ride makes a huge difference in how I feel on the bike. While these are not inexpensive I think they are well worth the investment. I use the Maurten solids as well which are equally impressive

Even though these gels are a bit pricey, they are the best! I try to save these for races, fast group rides and big training rides. When you absolutely need the best, look no further. I actually think these taste really good as well.
Tha Maurten Fuel Gel 100 fits my need for an effective energy food, that is very easy on the palate and the stomach. The package is very easy to open, and extract the gel under ride conditions. A well-engineered performance gel. Well worth the higher price per serving.
