Magicshine needs to explain how its products work. Both the instructions in the box and website are vague and unhelpful. It took scanning through YouTube videos and customer comments to uncover the secret to what is labeled as a 'transfer head' in the instruction manual. It's actually a screw-on Presta head to attach on the end of the short 'air tube" that is described as being helpful in tight situations. In my case, it is the only way to fill my tires successfully. The short, stubby rubber Presta adapter proved to be totally worthless because it couldn't create a complete seal on the valve. Now that I am squared away, the pump works great.
So far I am really stoked about this little beauty! Have used it to fill gravel and road tires, up to 2 tires on a single charge from low 20s to 40 and 80 respectively and still had charge left. It's loud and it gets warm but a small price to pay to have it in the seat bag! Have stopped carrying CO2 and I have high hopes for at least a year or two. Best feature by far is the pressure reading, setting and automatic shutoff. Pressure gauge appears be accurate based on my highly calibrated squeeze the sidewall tests. I have already recommended to 2 of my riding buds and so far so good. I recommend this mini pump and keep my fingers crossed for it lasting at least a while!
This tiny air pump is perfect...in its size and function. Directions are simple to understand. If your bike tire needs a full air up to pressure or just a squirt or two, use this cool pump and carry in in the bike bag.
Have not needed to use it on a ride, but worked great in the shop. Gives me another option along with CO2 setup. Nice compact size, easily fits in my jersey and offers peace of mind.
Luckiy no flats yet but pumped up one tire when adding sealant with no problems.
Carry it on rides, along with manual pump for backup.
Used this pump on several flats inflating to 90 psi. The pump shows charge level, getting about three inflates per charge. The pump is loud and somewhat heavy, I carry it in a fanny pack with lunch on longer rides, The controls are a bit tiny, but workable. Pleased with the pump!
I usually don't buy products that are new to the market, but a mini compressor has definitely been necessary. This thing has been very reliable. I've used it about 5 times in the last few months. No issues and good battery life, in my opinion. It's a great competitor to the more expensive ones when it's on sale.
Hard to get started - had to push start button repeatably (was fully charged)!
Tire filled to 45 psi easily - unit did get warm! The presta valve hose connector is too short to stay fastened to presta valve - it works but needs watching!
