Great rack, put it together and loaded 2 heavy mountain bikes in seconds, drove 40 miles of dirt road to go camping, bombproof build and solid hold. On my Honda Ridgeline could still access the trunk and tailgate opened. I was leery about spending more on a rack than I did on my first bike, but I'm going to enjoy this one for a long time.

I had yakima and thule but none of them could get to the same level as this one! So many amazing features that puts this one way ahead! Money well spent!

Mine is not level,( east west) or square to my van, like the way it works, poor execution, looks like crap! As a retired welder, fabricator, may redo it. No matter how hard the job was we had to be level, plumb& square, guess Kuat has a different philosophy.

I have had my Kuat Rack for over four years now. I have Yakima for everything else on my vehicles and love it but the Kuat features and build really won me over. I also had a broken tube for the cable (small plastic part) that cracked while assembling the rack. I called Kuat and they immediately sent two replacements. In the mean time, I went to the hardware store and got some plastic tubing of the same diameter and was up and running 10 minutes later. It's still working great after four years and I always get a lot of positive comments at bike events asking where did you get that rack?

I also purchased and installed the two-bike extension to allow carriage of 4 bikes. It's good to have two people to lower the rack when all four bikes are on due to the weight but otherwise flawless. I really like the wedge adjuster for the reciever hitch, keeps everything tight and no wobbles.

The design of this rack is extremely well thought out. It attaches solidly to the hitch in under a minute with no tools required. Loading bikes onto the rack couldn't be easier. It holds the bikes firmly without touching the frame (no more paint scratch!). Even dropping the rack down so that I can open the rear door on my SUV is easy and almost effortless.

The Trail Doc is a really outstanding feature that just puts this rack over the top. It never even occurred to me to want a workstand integrated with my rack, but having one really makes me happy.

I wasn't sure how this rack would do carrying a bike with fenders, but even that works for me.

Well constructed, easy to attach, easy to load, easy adjustments, added lock system. Ability to work on your bike is a must. Compact when folded. All in all, it's what I've been looking for in a rack for years.

Nice solid rack - five stars for the rack itself. Holds the bikes securely, although I don't like the way the arm contacts the brake calipers - someone suggested using bar tape on the arm to provide cushion. Caveat emptor - my rack arrived with a defective part (the white plastic tube that the cable lock goes through) and I experienced unanswered e-mail questions and Kuat never returned my phone call. The replacement part finally arrived eight days after I notified them of the problem. I expected way more from a company touts its customer service and that sells such expensive racks. The rack should last a long while, but I wouldn't buy another one because of my experience with Kuat.

Easy to use, durable, well thought out, and great looking. The anti-rattle device is genius, and I can't count the number of times I've let people use the repair stand at a trailhead.

Extremely easy to load and very light for its solid construction. Made a five hour trip with it loaded and never saw my bikes move. Tilts down with the bikes loaded allowing me to open my hatch with ease. Comes with safety lock and bike work stand that is perfect when on the road. Pricey but loaded with features.
