Very smooth ride. Quick tires.
Mostly city riding with some gravel patches thrown in. I think the reviews I found were correct about the sizing: 40c is slightly over what they actually are. Closer to 38, which is exactly what I wanted. Sturdy so far for the first ride, I did 27 miles today rolling over broken glass and whatever else you can find on the streets of Detroit, and they took it like a champ. Would buy again for the price and quality.

I got these for winter commuting, but I will probably leave them on most of the year (except summer). They really smooth out poor roads, are really grippy, and so far are durable, all as Kenda states. I really do like the feel of these tires. They are okay on hard packed gravel. I'm not sure I would want to try them in loose conditions.
Do not expect these tires to be exceptionally fast. They aren't as slow on the road as my knobby gravel tires, but they are significantly slower than my summer tires. I'd say they roll similarly to a Schwalbe Marathon Plus or a Continental Gatorskin, but with a much better ride. Seriously, at the right pressure the worn roads on my commute feel like butter.
Previously bought the coffee sidewall, same size, and used them on a gravel bike, mostly paved surfaces, but plenty of hard pack.
No flats!!!! maybe just lucky there.
Casing was surprisingly tough IMO.
Did a couple gravel races, 90% non-paved, gripped well enough for me and rolled well, both races were dry, not sure what these things would be like in the mud.
