I am probably a medium level road biker so I am not putting in heavy miles but I love having the padded Monaco II Gel Gloves which takes the pressure off my hands so that is one less thing to worry about while out for longer rides.
The sale price was hard to pass up. I don't have particularly big hands so I ordered size medium. They fit snuggly. I can't say that a large size would have been to big. Haven't washed them yet, so shrinkage may be a problem. I'm happy with the gloves, but suggest ordering next size up if in doubt.
I needed XL gloves and the Giro Monaco seem to be a great fit! They are well made and are on the smaller size of the XL sizing
Proving to be perfect for me. I have only used them a few times and would buy again.
Use the gloves for road cycling. They are comfortable to wear and the padding protects hands on rough roads. They are easy to take off with the loops on the back of the fingers. The bright colors are easy to see. I will continue to buy the Giro gloves.
Maybe the nicest half-finger glove that I have ever used. Total comfort. What I don't like is that the hook side of the fastener always folds over and snags the fabric above it, creating barely visible pulls that are already starting to be unsightly, and I am afraid, will eventually eat through the fabric.
My favorite gloves as late have been those made by Giro. 1. The Monaco II has lots of padding, which I find I need/want. 2. Once they're on my hands, I hardly notice them. 3. The tab design makes these gloves easy to remove without tearing seams. 4. The leather palms hold up better than the faux suede. The Monaco II replaced my last favorite pair of gloves, also Giro. I've tried others, but keep going back to the Giro gloves.
The gloves are good as advertised, it provides excellent padding for those that need it. If your bike handlebar is good or new, you may not needs this glove however. I went back to basic Giro gloves after purchasing a new bike.
Giro usually makes good gloves... this is definitely one of them.
I've gone through a number of different gloves from different companies. These have been the best so far. Unlike the others, they have held there shape and size and have not stretched out and bunched up.
Very pleased with these gloves. I was tired of scraping my knuckles on branches etc. while riding single track. They work perfectly and provide both good grip on bars as well as needed protection.
Keeps my hands dry, would like alittle more padding but does its job
I owned 6 of this gloves in different colors to match all my outfits.Nice Padding, very comfortable & breathable.
I will recommend this gloves to my friends.
This glove provides very good comfort and padding in comparison to other major brands. The user must be careful to wash it separately several times if using black-palmed choices. The dye bleeds out and can ruin other clothing. The dye will also blacken your hands when wearing, especially if they get sweaty. Otherwise, this is a fine glove if you find it on sale.
Gift for my girlfriend and she really likes them.
Bought medium based on the size chart after measuring my hands, but definitely too small, so returned them.
Right amount of padding and terry pad effective. Runs a little small- would usually wear a Large and this glove required an extra large
Fits well true to size Palm is slightly shiny but grips well and has solid feel
The Gel located in all the right places.
Gloves are very comfortable. They provide cushion at the righ places and remain cool throghout the ride.
These gloves are so comfortable I bought a second pair. Just completed 205 mile STP ride in one day and the gloves were fantastic!
