Killer shoe with surprising light weight and comfort

I bought this shoe specifically to use for cyclocross as it has a boa closure system to dial in the fit and the option to add front spikes. At first I thought the shoe was too narrow in my correct size but after about 5 minute warming up in the shoe, it completely surprised me to how well it fit and stayed snug around my foot. There is just the right amount of arch support and with the front velcro strap you can adjust to allow your toes more or less room to customize the fit or adjust as your feet heat up on a long ride. Power transfer through the footbed is solid and the insole provides just the right amount of supportive cushion. This is a great MTB shoe that is very lightweight and fits your foot like a glove with the perfect amount of adjustability. I am now a new fan of Giro shoes!

Good shoe for the price, but I wish it came in half sizes

I needed some new SPD-compatible shoes for gravel riding, touring, etc. (I use SPD-SLs on my road bike). These are very good shoes for the price and for my purposes - they are lightweight, and the Boa system is very easy to use and a nice touch at this proicepoint. They work well with a variety of mountain and touring pedals. The only negative is that they are only available in whole sizes - my Giro road shoes are 43.5, and that would have been ideal for these Cylinders. As it is, 43's are working out okay, just so long as I wear thin socks.

Really comfortable and sharp

I ride a gravel bike, but when riding on the road, I want a shoe that is comfortable, but that also looks good, like a road shoe does. I also want a shoe I can walk in and not look so awkward. This shoe does all that. Fits well, the boa closure is tight, the soles are stiff but you can still walk almost normally, and it looks good. The mesh top keeps it cool too. I wear an 8.5 to 9 in shoes, and the 42 fits perfectly (closer to the 9 sizing).

Like Cinderella finding the perfect shoe for the perfect foot

I have been quite pleased with these shoes since buying a couple months ago. I almost always try to go into a brick and mortar to try on gear before ordering online, especially with shoes, but I took a leap of faith on this one and I couldn't be happier. I'll be honest, I was concerned w/ some of the comments regarding "narrow foot", but I stayed true to my gut and found the perfect size, for my above-average large foot. Walking in the shoes is a breeze with the recessed clip, and it feels like you're walking in a pair of stiff running shoes. No more sliding across the asphalt on your clips! You can kiss those days bye bye! And aside from the fit, the snugness of the shoe feels perfect and the Boa L6 dial truly blows my mind each time I use it (seriously, it's awesome). The single Velcro buckle across your upper toe gives that extra degree of freedom when finding the perfect fit. And let's not forget the sleek, sexy, simple black design. I feel like a friggen night rider in these shoes, even though I only ever use them in the day time!

Great Snug Fit
by Johnnybiker

Was not looking for a pair of shoes when I bought these, but the price and the BOA lace system made this purchase to good to pass up. The shoe size 46 indicates a 12 but I'm a 11.5 and they fit fine. Having diabetes makes me cautious when buying footwear, but these have given me no problems with the 500+ miles so far.

Good shoe
by Anonymous
Florida west coast

Really like these shoes. Got them on sale deal of the day which was a bonus since I had been looking at them anyway. Much stiffer and more comfortable than my old Pearls. Might be a little narrow for some but they will loosen up. Interface with my CrankBros Candy pedals is tight so cutting away some of the year might be a thing of it becomes a problem. Hasn't been so far but once in a while hard to find the cleat.

Solid shoe so far. Multi-use feedback
by Anonymous

I rock CB pedals and mtb shoes on my gravel whip, this shoe has been great for all rides both on and off a trainer and either road or gravel riding. Breathable construction that drys quick if things get soupy. Stiff sole so it doesn't flex when layin' some wattage down. Admittedly my first boa shoe and I'm very pleased with its performance so far. It's what you expect for a Giro boot. True to sizing.

Solid Shoe
by Moto B

I wear these for road cycling because I like the idea of being able to easily walk in the shoe. They are comfortable and relatively cool. They are pretty stiff and can handle standing on the pedals with just a little flex. I wear a 12 shoe and have a narrow foot. They fit great width wise. The 46 was a little tight, 47 just a tad big. Wish they has a 46.5

I use this shoe for most of my cycling in warm and cool weather. The shoes are good for road, gravel, and mountain biking. The fit, material, look, and lace tighteners are all features I appreciate. And the price makes it affordable!

Use these daily on my road bikes. The quick tighten/release feature works really well. These replaced an old set of shimano shoes that saw a lot of miles and I am looking forward to getting the same out of these.

Fast on , fast off ,, fits great, rides better. I go back to leather shoes and these are the best feel and ride shoes I have owned! I have enjoyed many rides with these shoes and will now use them on my trainer. I just wish there were warmer ones for use outside in the 20s for I ride in the winter. Just shocked on how good of a shoe they are.

Tightening nob is fantastic

Rode sidis for years. Had my car broken into on vacation and my luggage was stolen while on a bike trip. I bought these at the local bike shop. Every bit as comfortable as my old sidis. Love the lightening nob - allows for tightening the laces while riding. Prefer the nob over straps or laces.

I've been wanting to upgrade my riding shoes to the boa cable tightening system for many years. I've tired of always having to lace and tuck in shoe strings. For the price you offered these high end shoes to me how could I not upgrade? Lighter and tighter is where it's at!

This was a gift for my son 20 years old who just started mountain biking and road cycling and it turned out to be a great gift to cover both types of riding.
