I love the crisp, bright and colorful display that is visible even in bright light. It's easy to set up out of the box and fun to customize. Because I've had a Garmin GPS for several years the transition to the Venu 2S was seamless. I love the ease with which I can launch any activity on my watch, from cycling to yoga, skiing, walking, etc and then be able to view statistics and maps right on my watch. I'm happy with the battery life which typically lasts me 4 days or more, even with activity tracking sprinkled in. I'm also amazed at the charge speed. I've never timed it, but it seems to go from empty to full within an hour or two.
Areas for improvement:
- While this watch is touted to be smaller than many others, it is still quite bulky on my wrist. I would love to see an even smaller version in the future.
- I would also like to see integration with my Garmin 530.
- I find notifications to be somewhat unreliable and misleading. Voicemails often display the incorrect caller.
- As long as we're dreaming about the future, I'd love to create my own pre-typed text messages (e.g. 'Heading home') to respond without having to pull out my phone.
Great for the gym or the road. I have mine set to easily log elliptical trainer, indoor rowing, biking, walking, and strength training. It also allows me to download the music I want to hear and syncs with my earbuds, so I can lock my phone in the car at the gym. Great display. My only regret is that the battery life isn't longer.
