I have one of these for my mountain bike and I bought a second for my gravel bike. With this, it's much easier to get into my handlebar bag. As with other mounts, it feels very secure and it holds my Garmin well.
Using this mount on both mtn and gravel bikes as it puts the Garmin units in a great location and holds them in place. Also works well if using a handlebar bag as it doesn't interfere with access to the bag.
We use the MTB mount on the captain handlebar of our tandem. I (the captain) like how it projects forward of the handlebar, keeping my sweat and drips from my Camelbak drinking tube from hitting it. It is a valuable accessory for the Garmin Edge 530.
I used the out-front mount for my 1030+, but it seemed to stick out too much for a mountain bike (just in case the bike might fall!). I'm now using that mount on another bike and this one mounts the Edge in a much better/safer position over the stem. It really fits much better than I had anticipated. And it feels very, very sturdy. Glad I bought it.
The best mount you can use for your garmin. Comfortable, light and strong material.
Garmin makes great products but this mount is a little too bulky trying to accomodate too many bar sizes and mounting angles. Small crash broke he internal mount and rendered it useless after the first ride so switching to something aluminum like a K-Edge mount.
