I purchased this product to back up my Kinetic thru hub adaptors I use when I set up clients bikes on my trainer. When you do as many bike fits as I do and see the different thru hubs and you will know that some bikes either your too fearful to add a new thru hub trainer cause your afraid of damaging the drop out thread or if you have certain Cannondale bikes your trainer thru hub from Kinetic wont work, I know :) So this back up adapter is GREAT and I have used it many times now and its been a game saver so I can do a client bike fit. Frankly had I not already bought my trainer thru hubs I would only need this multipurpose adapter for all my bike clients work.
My bicycle has a 10mm rear thru axle and I needed an old school QR to make it work on my Kinetic Road Machine Control Trainer. This was the perfect solution.
