Have them mounted on my road bike, but here in Jamaica the roads are not pristine. Cages are light but feel a little flimsy. Bottles slide in/out easily and although not tight I haven't had any bottles being ejected over any rough roads. I do notice some wear on the cages after approximately 600 mls
