I know these Mega plugs are kind of expensive for what they are. But in the situation where you need these plugs they are worth their weight in gold. At first use these as they came with a Dynaplug racer plug tool and the first time I had a large puncture in an event I inserted one of these babies and it worked flawlessly to seal up the puncture. I didn't even cut the tail off the plug, just let it wear away. I've even used these to repair sidewall tears on combination with a smaller "regular" plug or two. I wouldn't continue to use that tire as a permanent solution but for getting out of a sticky situation in an event it is nice to be able to plug large holes and get going again when the alternative is a DNF or having to tube and boot it.
Great for large gashes. Expensive!
Easy to carry and quick to deploy to handle those larger holes from big hits.
Big advantages: With "DynaPlug Air," I can modulate the amount of air with the control handle to get some air in, then I I can fix a flat without removing the tire to use a patch.
