No problems here

I've had this tape on for a couple months now and it is holding up well. This was the first time I had wrapped drop bars and I had no issues, it went on easy, has stayed on and is quite comfortable. The only thing I could see being improved is to provide a little stronger adhesive tape strips to hold the ends, the tape provided works but I don't think it will last as long as the bar wrap.

You can often reuse this tape if needed when redoing cables etc. It's the only brand I buy.

This is the easiest handle bar wrap I ever used. Holds up well, and is very comfortable after hours in the saddle.

I have used this wrap twice on bikes I sold so I can't sat anything about long term durability but it is inexpensive and comes in many colors which is well suited for my needs.

Nice Feel

Nice feeling tape that seems to last a long time. I use this on most of my bikes. The only caution is that there is no extra lenght included and it is easy to come up short if its not stretched just right.

Nice handlebar wrap, similar to Cinelli Cork
by Lee

I've purchased another roll of this wrap after the last roll lasted well on my main roadracing bike for two seasons. Good feel, good design. The tape backing is not super easy to get off (you'll have bits of the wrap stuck on your handlebars when you remove it), but the only wrap I've found with adhesive backing that comes off in a reasonable way is Planet Bike, which has a bit more durable, rubbery stretchy feel and I use it on my commuter. Cinelli cork probably has a better initial feel than this Deda, but in my experience Cinelli cork changes in feel more quickly and this Deda wrap has stayed basically the same for a long time.

I like the Deda Elementi handlebar tape because of its high quality and lower cushion, it keeps my bicycle looking clean.

The Elementi bar tape keeps weight off my bike and doesn't double up the thickness of the grip because I would rather keep my padding in my glove.

Soft cushioned grip

I used the Elementi and the Mistral tape by Deda on vintage restoration projects. The Deda tape is easy to work with. It sretches and conforms well. Price is the key for using Elementi. I don't care for the embossing you have work around so I usually use Minstral. It has a leather look & feel.

Goes on nice and smooth.

This Deda Carbon tape is long enough to do a full wrap with a figure eight around the ergolever. It streches enough to wrap well and lays down smooth. It is medium density and has a classy look.

Review by ben.pdx

one of the best bar tapes
by ben.pdx

I've been using cork tape for a long time, but they sometimes don't take much stretching before they rip. Deda tape has a different feel that is just as nice to me, but I think it's not as fragile, some of the colors are nice and vibrant, and the price is a good value. They could get a little more imaginative with the embossed logo.

Nice durable tape
by Delfairen

This tape goes on well and has a slight stretch but if you have any additional cables routed on the bar other than the brakes it can be touch and go whether this will be long enough, an extra 2-3inches of tape would of made this 5 star.

What can you say about bar tape - comparable to cinelli but at half the price. it's not too cushy - just right - but the white is more grey now.

An inexpensive tape that goes on easy, stays in place, lasts a long time and is very comfortable. I have use many different bar tapes, and Deda is by far the best.

Poor Quality

This tape was a pretty good deal when I saw it online, and the reviews were pretty good. When I got it and started to put in on my bike, it tore in two places right away. I wasn't stretching it very tight either. Just following the instructions. The next day, I went to my local bike shop and bought some quality handlebar tape. If I were you, I would buy the better tape first, and not deal with this cheaply made stuff.

Comfortable, durable, simple to use, and cheap. What more do you want from bar tape? Deda's color range is nice-easy to mix and match with team kit andor bike paint color schemes.

Good tape for the money.

This tape lays down well if you are familiar with the drill of applying handlebar tape. It stretches a lot without tearing when you have to have to coax it around the sharper bends and the brakeshifter junction with the bar. The adhesive strip on the back makes it a cinch to keep the tape in place while you are making the wrap. One last thing, if you want to have the Deda logo imprinted on the tape to show make sure that you start the tape with the logo on the trailing edge of the tape or you will cover it up with the next wrap.
