Used mostly for road riding and some cyclocross rides.
It's simply the best butyl tube I can find. The ride quality isn't as good as latex but far better than a standard tube. They hold air much better than latex over time as well. If you cannot or won't run latex tubes I find this to be the very next best option. My 2nd favorite in use daily tube.
This used to be my go to tube, NOT anymore. The last 3 tubes have all burst at the seams, litterally. All after being ridden for only a few days. Not sure if I got a bad batch but not worth trying these again.
Excellent overall inner tube. Good for training or racing. Relatively light with a good price.
I use this with road bikes mostly 28mm tires (conti GP5000 and panaracer GravelKing)and one 1 1/4 tire (panaracer pasela). These tubes are super. Easy to install, great quality and good balance of weight and puncture resistance. Just did the Cino ride with no flats
it is a totally reliable tube. no problems or unexpected issues
I only use continental Gator Skins and their variations as tires and figure it's best to match tubes !! I've had very good luck with both, maybe 3 or 4 flats in ten years. They do lose a little more air than some of their competitors but the fact they last as long as they do and are puncture resistant - makes me a return buyer !!
I had one go down during a 100k about 25 miles into ride. Couldn't find any obvious reason, however I was trying Stan's in it,made a large mess so had to discard instead of taking home to investigate
I bought a couple of these and haven't had an issues yet.
These tubes are noticeably heavier than others, but paired with Conti tires, I noticeably have fewer flats. Most of my rides are long training efforts. I'll take the weight and fewer flats hands down.
I ride daily and check air pressure every time before I ride, these hardly loose any pressure in a couple days, then its just a pound or two that I need to add. I run at 110 lbs. and they work great!!!!
This Conti tube has nice thick material and fits my wide, 52 mm carbon wheels with plenty of stem to pump them up. I like the removable valve core that cheaper tubes don't have. I like them better than Conti's big M competitor's tubes.
I put these on my single speed bike that I ride to work 3 days a week, it is 20 miles there and back. Its a mixture of bike paths and bike lanes on pretty busy streets. Have not got a flat since I put them on 3 weeks ago. Before I had bontrager tubes from the local bike shop before with a few flats every so often, guess I have had better luck with these.
Have been using them for 2000 miles, 1 flat, excellent tubes.
I paired these tubes with the Conti Grand Prix 4 Season tire and like them.
I don't really like presta valves but these function better than the other
brands I have had.
Nice lightweight tube. Great for the price!
Conti seems to make the most dependable tube on the market. I have never had a bad one (which I cannot say for some of the competition). In addition to its durability, it is relatively light with a solid stem.
What more can I say. I have trusted Continental tires and tubes for decades That's why I continue to ride Continental.
My only complaint is that the valve stem is threaded, but that's fairly minor. It's a good tube which holds air for several days easily before needing to be pumped up.
I had to switch to Continental from another brand of tube, Continental seems to have removable presta valves in the stems. Neither brand advertises a removable valve. What I do not like as much is that this tube has a shaft that is threaded, and the other was smooth. The smooth stem makes it much easier to fill the tube, which if you have 120 lbs tires you know you have to air up weekly. The other down side is that these tubes appear to be thinner. I put a new tube in and was airing it up and it exploded. I have to put slime in my tires because of the goat head thorns and even with a plastic tube guard the tubes still gets punctured. What I had to do is add slime to the tube, install it then air it SLOWLY, rotating the tube to allow the slime to disperse around the tire. Then I was fine. You have to squeeze the tire to make sure that the air is dispersing. If the tire does not feel the same all around you have to rotate it and allow the slime to flow down.
