Vectran was good enough to go to mars. Also an excellent gas barrier. Once considered for plastic beer bottle as few plastic bottles are suitable for carbonation and freshness.

I have had trouble in the past installing bike tires, these tires were easy to install and have been a very smooth and comfortable ride so far.

i've had one mysterious sidewall explosion, but many more 4000s that just work and roll through more glass than i'd expect without trouble. they ride great, and they're great value.
I haven't tried the new 5000 series tire yet, but I think the 4000 S is just about perfect. How could it be any better? When it's on sale and you can stock up!!

While not necessarily being the longest lasting tires, they are incredibly comfortable and high performing. When you get them on sale on this website, they represent a great deal.
Use for racing and fast club rides. If you can catch them on sale they are a great tire. I rotate them to try to get the maximum mileage for each tire. I wish they made a tubeless version.
