I've been riding Conti 4000 tires for a few years now. They wear very well and have been very durable. Currently riding across the USA on these tires
I'm an avid road cyclist and next to the bike that you may be riding the tires that you're riding on can be the difference from just a ride to an experience that's second to none.
These are great tires. I swore them off for a while after getting lots of sidewall tears, but have given them a shot again. I've got close to 1,000 miles on them and so far so good. I'd never pay full price for these tires, you can frequently find them on sale. I have 23 mms which look more like 25 mms on my carbon rims when mounted.
The combination of low rolling resistance, great grip, and terrific puncture resistance makes this my summer training and racing clincher of choice. You won't be disappointed.
Great Product. Great Price. Great Service. I'm a fan of Conti GP4000 SII. Durable. Smooth. No complaints.
I ride about 100 miles a week and no issues. The handling and speed are second to none.
These tires are great and I got them for a great price!
My one line comment really does the job these are the best tires I have used and they last long as well !
I have been using these tires for 3 years. They are a great all around tire for the money. They have a great grip. They are fast. They corner well. They don't puncture easy. They are good for about 6000 miles.
LOVE THEIR ROLLING ABILITY AND THEIR EXTREMELY DURABLE AND EASY TO PUT ON MY BIKE
Tried the 25s and very tight clearances on my FLO 32 rims as wet weather attracts grit which rubs on the brake bridge. 23s are a much better around my Rival brake bridges. I like the ride and yes the 25s are nice if they fit but the 23s on a wider rim are very nice as well.
Great training tire. They handle well and are easy to install. On carbon clincher rims, I would suggest using hands only to install, working the tire around the rim until it slides in place. Check the wear indicators frequently. I run 25mm at 115 psi and the tires perform well with minimum punctures.
Easy to put on (and that's saying a lot because I suck at changing tires.) Not too heavy. Great road traction.
I switched to the GP4000 S when I rode a Motobecane Century Pro and a titanium Le Champion. I've never switched back, and the GP4000 S II is even better. The traction is good, and I have not flatted out since leaving the San Fernando Valley and switching to 700 x 25mm. Riding a Bacchetta CA 2 I have achieved some KOM's in my age group segments on Strava using these tires. When they go on sale, I make sure that I have one in my backup stock.
Great product and services...
Tires are fast and I never feel like I am dragging like I did with my Vittoria Rubino Pro G. Third-party tire rolling resistance tests confirm this (web search). I have been over some unclean streets littered with rocks, glass, trash, and potholes here in the inner city and haven't had any issues so far. Tires are comfortable and absorb shock well. I feel like I can go extra miles on these as they are more efficient. Cruising along the flats at 23mph is no issue. Give 'em a shot if they are in the category of tire you are searching for. I also have my second set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires on my car so I am very pleased with Continental's products at this point.
Durable, reliable , fast rolling.
Never had a flat since I changed to these tires. I went with a 23 in the front and 25 in the rear. Rides real smooth and hugs the road. I bought another pair because they were on sale. Excellent tire.
Love these tires. I get a full riding season out of every set with very few flats.
I have tried many different tires in the last 40 years of riding and the Continental Grand Prix 4000 as been the longest lasting tire with the best resistance to cuts and punctures of any tire I have used.
