Versatile Headband
by ajlacombe

This is a really great headband - it is super tall and very light. On the bike it is great because it is easy to get it under your helmet and maintain your temperature. I have even used it to play golf. This will not keep you warm as a regular headband that is facing winds. For upper 40s this will work great off the bike and on the bike it is a personal preference for where it will work. I highly recommend it to have in your arsenal .

Fits Nicely

This one does the trick. It keeps my ears warm and fits under my helmet nicely. I've tried using gators but they don't stay up on my ears.

Perfect headband
by Anonymous
Cycling Enthusiast

I've tried several headband/helmet covers but never found one that I really liked until now. This headband is thin enough to fit under the helmet with only a minor adjustment on the tension knob, it keeps my ears/head warm down to about 35 degrees, and it doesn't significantly reduce my ability to hear traffic noise.

covers ears AND comfortable under helmet

Most ear bands are to thick for me and are a problem under a helmet. Not this one! Still keeps ears from freezing into low 30's but hardly notice its there

Perfect headband

Have purchased several different winter head coverings and didn't care of any of them. Found this one and couldn't be happier. Light, warm and most importantly, doesn't interfere with ability to hear traffic.

I live in the upper midwest and was looking for something that I could wear in the winter that isn't too hot, but stays put over my ears. This is the perfect weight, stays around my ears and is just the right level of warmth.

Very pleased with the Castelli Pro Thermal headband. It covers my ears well, is perfectly warm, and it stays in place. I can't think of a single negative on this item.

A great product

Two teenage boys in my life ride their bikes to school every day. As the weather got colder their helmets weren't sufficient to keep their ears warm and their hats didn't fit under the helmets. When I spied them riding with their hats and no helmets I did some research and found your product. The headbands worked and now the boys are compliant with their helmets. It also came after a brief lecture on the dangers of riding the city streets without head protection. Great product!

this headband is so small it fits anywhere and is pretty warm for its thin material...I use it when its chilly but not cold enough for a full hat-hi 40s t0 50s

New Best Favorite

This Castelli earband is my new favorite, the one I've been diligently searching for after Pearl Izumi "upgraded" it's longtime basic lightweight to a bulkier uncomfortable design. Sorry, PI.

The Castelli is featherweight and the extra height makes it almost double as a earwarmer/scull cap combo, for those who accessorize specifically.

I bought one, saw the value, ordered another.

My go-to for the chill

Very light weight, very thin, and perfect protection from the chill. I mostly run with it, some bike, some XC skiing and snowshoeing, I just love wearing this. Doesn't get sweaty soggy like heavier fabric and has good stretch so it's comfortable-not tight and not sloppy loose.

Thin and effective

I was looking for a thin headband. My helmet is snug and won't allow anything even remotely bulky to be worn. I also have hair (lots of it...thanks, Covid) and don't really feel the need for full coverage. This fills the bill nicely.

Works really well in cold temps. I've worn it in sub -freezing temps and it kept my head and ears warm. Not bulky and easily fits under a helmet.

Comfortable and warm when you want to keep your ears out of the wind. If I need something like this I usually wear a cap, but if I am uncertain I have this in my pocket.
