Material is very soft and thin, was almost reluctant to wear it in 30 degree temps, but it held up well and kept legs warm. Feel like the chamois should be more forward though for better protection of privates. Material is so soft it can be damaged and snagged easily, keep it way from velcro in the wash. One up size as usual for Castelli
