I live in the Northwest and this jacket fails to disappoint, having now used this almost one full winter season. Breathes well, superior wind resistance, and warm. I've ridden in the low 30s with only a mid weight base layer underneath, once when raining and remained dry. Versatile. Love the side zippered pocket for valuables/phone. I've have other name brand winter jackets, but this is by far superior to them. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

I'm 6' 2" and 190lbs and the 2XL fits just right with a medium weight base layer underneath. A base layer thicker would make a tighter fit in the sleeves. The length is satisfactory with a person of my height. The jacket is form fitting. The dual sleeve at the cuff makes for an air tight fit with gloves and is a great addition. I've worn the jacket at temps from 3C to 6C and it is almost too warm. With a medium base layer it should be comfortable down to -3C to -6C. The zipper is more robust that on similar Gore jackets and has a zipper flap to help seal out air and comes with a long tie which helps when wearing gloves. I expect the jacket to last quite a few seasons. Having a winter jacket with three back pockets is a definite plus.
Very versatile. I have been comfortable at 45F with a sleeveless base layer and in the mid 20s with long sleeved merino wool base, and have no doubt I would stay cosy at even lower temps. Also very comfortable and a more racy fit than most winter jacket which I like. Finally sleeves are nice and long, avoiding the dreaded gap (something is a problem with the Castelli Espresso that I got a couple of yrs back).
Only "issue" is the color fiery red is close to orange - something that it is hard to tell from a website picture.
This is a great jacket. It has kept me warm down into the 30s Fahrenheit. I have not yet tested it in the rain or snow. My arms have gotten chilly when not wearing a long sleeve base layer, but with a base layer it has been all I have needed.
Quality made product. European fit. Means it's tight. But right. Refer to Castelli size chart. Performs as described.
