The Carbs gels are the perfect consistency that I've been looking for. The "gel" has a more liquid type consistency so its easier to empty a packet into your mouth while pedaling and its easier to swallow. These gels are easy on my stomach and I do not get sick of the taste. I'm supplementing these with a carb mixture in my bottle for a 100g / hr consumption on my hard four hour rides.
Train with it. U will carry less gels. Price you can't beat for now.
In addition to training rides, I recently used Carbs Fuel gels for a 16 hour overnight race. I consumed one 50g gel and 50g of homemade drink mix every hour and no solid foods. I felt strong throughout, and experienced *zero* gastrointestinal discomfort! Additionally, the neutral flavor made it easy to put down hour after hour. And all for a price that doesn't make me cringe :D
