Wearing these socks enables me to bike without shoe covers in mid 40 F. Temps. The front half of the sock has more loft to material which creates air insulation.
I was expecting a high performance sock from Assos for wet and cold winter riding in the Pacific Northwest. I have used the product on several rainy rides and have been unimpressed with the Ultraz winter sock. Save your money.

good quality socks, good value, very comfortable and lite weight so not bulky.
Look cool, very comfortable, great for temps into the 40�s. But nothing beats merino wool for temps that dip into the 30�s.
Socks are very comfortable. Will likely buy a second or third pair.
