It is hard to find gloves with no padding. These have very minimal padding so work well enough. I find gel pads and excessive pads on gloves to create more hot spots and fatigue than they cure. Medium padded bars and no padding gloves work best for me. These are a bit pricey but feel nice. The back side of glove is a thin fabric which breaths really well. Time will tell if they hold up. Hope so because they look and feel good.
You can perhaps gripe about the price of Assos gear, but rarely with the quality and design. These gloves fit well and have just the right amount of padding for hand positions on the hoods or in the drops. The short wrist cut makes it easy to slip a finger under the palm to remove them without the other tricks like fabric loops or pull pockets inside the fingers and the cut does not interfere with my watch.
Love a great product; happy to pay a premium for great construction and materials. Just not sure these lived up to the price. Bought based in favorable reviews. Like my Specialized SL Pro gloves better at half the price.
Gloves are smooth soft and cool perfect for 50+ weather condition.

I use them for gravel riding on summer days. They're great!
