Such A Nice Ride!

When my usual go-to tires were discontinued, I had to start shopping for a replacement. I read the reviews of the Vittoria Corsa G2.0 and saw that people either loved them or hated them. When I saw reviews that said they were a fast tire, I decided to give them a try. I have had these tires on my bike for two months now. My usual ride is about thirty-five miles on city streets. So far, the tires have performed flawlessly. I have not yet had one flat. The ride is comfortable and smooth. You can hear that smoothness if the wind isn't blowing in your ears. When I had the tires on for a few weeks and knew that I loved them, I bought a second pair to have ready when the need arises. If you want speed and comfort, these tires are for you!

I've run these at less than the recommended psi and they felt sluggish and wore down super fast. I read the sidewall and pumped them up and it was awesome. I've since had a few sets of these and they're great. They still wear a bit fast and the sidewalls stain easily but their ride is worth it all.

Just fine so far 2K miles
by Anonymous

Used Vittoria Open Pave for many years. Was usually able to get 4K miles from a pair. Now that they are discontinued , these look like as as the Open Pave. One flat in 2K (pinch flat) and one small cut in tread-put tube patch inside just to be safe even though the cut did not go through. Rotated at 1600 miles and they look like they should be good for well over 3K miles.

Yes they are a little spendy but overall I believe well worth the expense.

Quality even an casual/amatuer cyclist will appreciate

One needs only get out a caliper to appreciate the quality of these tires. I am on my second set and note that the 25mm are accurately sized but also thinner than another tire that were supposedly 23mm. The shape of the tire, with something of a flat profile on the surface touching the road makes for stable cornering at speed. The tires handle well even when I over-inflate slightly more than usual and ride on pock-marked roads, they do not perform as stiffly as some other brands. While I have looked at rolling resistance studies of tires for years, this is the first tire in which the performance on my own bike is noticeable. I found the slight crown eroded on the back tire at about 1500 miles in a way that changed performance, which suggested it may be time to rotate if not replace the tires. It was also about 1,500 miles that I had three flats in quick succession, but I rotated and continued to use the tires, noting a slight diminution in handling and cornering but with no subsequent flats.

They are priced similar to many high performance clinchers and so competitive cyclists are unlikely to balk at the price. Mounting the tires may challenge some (and exhaust thumbs), but your effort will be rewarded. I ride a road bike close to 150 days a year and encourage any cycling enthusiast to invest in the ride quality these tires provide. If you find them on sale, buy a few sets and keep riding.

Smooth as silk and durable

My 3rd year of buying these tires to replace 12 months of wear. I was a 12yr Conti Grand Prix user, but joyfully changed to these tires with concerns over durability that never materialized. I ride on a ton of chip-sealed pavement, and these 25mm tires absorb the tiring and painful hi-frequency "buzz" from your butt and hands, versus Conti's and VIttoria Rubino's. If you are looking to increase comfort, these tires will improve that and are plenty durable against road debris.

Great riding tire with no problem getting on/off rim.

I have about 1000 miles on these tires. Mostly smooth roads, but also some chip seal. 700x25 mounted on Zipp 303 clincher, 90-94 psi, butyl tubes. I will probably remount with latex tubes, but first wanted a fair comparison to previous tire. The ride is noticeably softer (comfortable) and sure handling than the top of the line tire from the German mega tire manufacturer that I was riding previously. Very stable at high speeds. This 320 tpi thing seems to be for real. So far I have not flatted and tread wear rate seems to be pretty normal. I had no problem mounting these tires to the rims without using tools. I also tried removing a tire after reading another review that claimed it was difficultimpossible. I used one plastic lever just to get it started, then finished up with hands only. No problem. Maybe the reviewer who had problems was a victim of rim-tire non-compatibility. I used to find combining Campy alloy rims with Michelin tires to be problematic. Who would have suspected? Anyway, the bottom line is these tires offer an exceptional ride, seem to hold up just fine, and if purchased when on sale, worth the cost.

I've been using the Vittoria Corsa G2.0 for over 1000 km and so far I have no regrets about it.

Pros

- easy to assembledisassemble on Roval rims, no tools were necessary

- super smooth

- rolls really well

- no flats so far

- beautiful tan sidewall

Cons

- it's not free

- puncture resistance rating could be better

- could be lighter

The feeling of rubber is supple.

It's a great tire. It feels like supple rubber, and it responds well to different psi for different conditions, rides, and attitudes. It wears, but it also varies. I haven't had a flat yet. I've ridden others like this til the death without ever flatting. Depends where you live and the idea of luck.

These tires are fast and feel great on the road. More durable than people give them credit for as I have not had any issues even near the end of their life. The tan sidewall puts it over the top.

Excellent tire.

These handle well, I've gotten well over 2000 miiles on rear tires (more on the front), they sound like sew-ups, and corner well. Contrary to another reviewer, they are very easy to mount (28mm), particularly if you powder them (as well as the tubes) first. I've been a serious cyclist for 59 years, and these are my favorite tires to date.

Great tire

These have a smooth, fast ride. The tread with the lines going around the tire is great. Most importantly, these are nice looking tires. The sidewalls are the right color and the logos look nice. Way nicer compared to that huge tire manufacturer that makes tires with ugly colors and logos on them.

Very nice riding tire with low roll resistance. Absolutely the worst puncture protection of any tire I've ever used. Too bad, so much for the unsubstantiated graphene hype.

Used with latex tubes the tire seems to provide a smoother ride than Rubino Pro with butyl tubes. I haven't had any punctures yet, but I only have 500 miles on the tire so far. Grip and cornering seem just fine to me.

Impossible to Mount
by LABlue Bike
Cycling Enthusiast

2 of 24 customers found this review helpful.

This tire is unacceptably difficult to mount. Let me correct that This tire does not mount using conventional means. The instructions advise to set the first bead and then insert the tube. OK. The instructions then advise to use a rim tool only if necessary to set the second bead. Not only is it impossible to hand set the second bead, it would not even mount using rim tools. After an hour, I decided this was not going to work and that I had probably pinched the tube. Then, I could not get the first bead OFF! So I had to CUT OFF this useless tire. Sure enough, the tube was also compromised.

Im not a pro, but Ive never been unable to install a tire. Until I tried the Vittoria Corsa Graphene 2.0.
