The SRAM Apex 12-speed mechanical rear derailleur quietly and quickly shifts across 12-speed cassettes, while 1x-specific chain retention technology keeps the chain where it needs to be. The Apex XPLR derailleur hits the sweet spot of smooth jumps over a big gear range, and Apex Eagle rear derailleur gives you MTB range for your drop bar bike. With a max of 44T or 52T large cogs, you'll always have the gears you need.

This rear derailleur's "straight parallelogram" design limits all movement to the horizontal axis, which makes ghost shifting impossible while also reducing shift force. For quicker, more exact shifting, the large upper pulley offset design maintains a constant chain gap across all gears. ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH technology eliminates derailleur bounce and chain slap without sacrificing precision.

Plus with CAGE LOCK technology in the rear derailleur, wheel removal and installation—as well as chain installation—becomes faster and simpler. Just push the cage forward to create slack and lock it into place.
