Firing on all cylinders.
Worn by pro teams like LottoNL-Jumbo, Orica-BikeExchange, and Giant-Alpecin, you know Shimano churned out a winner with their top-of-the-line SH-RC9 S-Phyre Wide Road Shoe. The one-piece synthetic leather upper features Teijin Avail Microfiber and Surround wrap technology for a glove-like fit on a broad range of feet. Perforated dimples facilitate ventilation and drainage. The dual BOA IP1 dials with Powerzone lacing ensure a secure and precise fit that's easy to adjust on the fly.
Shimano bonds the upper to the ultra-rigid carbon sole using a technique that forgoes the traditional lasting board between the footbed and outsole resulting in a lower stack height, improved stability, and increased power transfer. Inside, the quick-dry 3D mesh and Silvadur™ antimicrobial insoles keep your feet cool and fresh, even as you fire off attacks from the peloton.
Claimed weight: 232g (size 42). Compatible with standard 3-bolt road cleats. Available in multiple colors.

The upper gets scuffed pretty quickly, and so does the outsole, but I guess that's normal. The shoe itself is incredibly lightweight, comfortable, and stiff. I used this with SPD cleats via an adapter, and it's pretty solid.
Nice light shoe, boas work great. Caveat I have flat feet, and corn on my right small toe. I have trimmed supplied foot bed to help with my foot issues. Nice that 2 different size arch supports are included. Carbon sole is stiff, great for power transfer. Downside stiff sole also can create hot spots. Man made upper after 2 months has not conformed to foot. I need be selective in my socks as thickness can make for an uncomfortable fit. The sale price made it a good bargain.
Got the Shimano wide size 46. I normally were a size 46.5 Sidi. Fantastic shoe that fit my feet like a slipper. The Boa dials are much better and easier to adjust on the fly than the Sidi.
