Not bad for a gravel tire

I've used various tires over the past 9 years for gravel and have since switched over to mountain bike XC tires for most of my gravel needs as they are simply superior in pretty much every way. However, I wanted to try these tires out (along with the G-One R in 45mm which I'm less impressed with), so I grabbed a pair of these in 50mm. The RX's are very fast in a straight line. I'd put them on par with my Race King 2.0's on the straights.....however, for my terrain (Sonoran desert single and double track with varying degrees of sand over caliche and rock), the Race Kings/XC tires grip far better in the turns than gravel tires do. Now, if you're mostly going in a straight line and the terrain isn't too technical/chunky/demanding (think something like BWR Utah, which I would definitely use these RX's on) and your frame maxes out with 50mm tires, these tires would be a good option. Got them on the rim very easily, although I had to use an air compressor to get one of them to seat......easy peasy with the Park inflator head, my single best tubeless upgrade/tool. The QC at Schwalbe could be improved though as one tire weighed in at 630 grams and the other was 670 grams. Not sure why there was such a large discrepancy. They ride and roll well though, very comfortable. They don't have the cornering confidence of my Race Kings, but "gravel" tires are generally always a performance tradeoff trying to balance pavement and gravel/dirt road performance. When I'm blasting through non-technical singletrack with cacti lining both sides of the trail, cornering grip becomes exponentially important as running into a cactus (especially cholla) sucks a lot. If you're lucky enough to have dirt trails and no real consequences for sliding out in turns where you live, the cornering grip will probably be halfway decent for a gravel tire. They are a bit on the pricey side though, would be a good deal if they were about $25 less expensive.

Low resistance, easy to mount and great performance!

I'm a Schwalbe fan - just admitting that bias up front - they mount & seal easier than any other tubeless I've used. Been running their tires for a few years on my gravel bike. I ran this in a 50 on the front and an Overland Schwalbe in the rear in a 45 (max for my bike and had a new one to use) for Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder this year in addition to several other chunky and technical training rides and I LOVE THEM. Notable excellent cornering control, fast rolling. Recommended to me by a pro rider; no regrets for taking the guidance and upgrading. Will absolutely consider purchasing again.

Solid grip. On the heavy side.

They roll as you expect for the tread pattern. Hook up well in loose, chunky, rocky, and soft stuff. Did great on a long single track climb with mostly decomposed granite. No washing out front or rear. A little noisy and slower rolling on tarmac than other tires with shallower or closer set lugs. Definitely overkill if 30% or more of your riding is pavement or if the gravel is predictable. Both tires weight out the about 620g but it is a pretty robust tire for the intended use.

Superb

Mounted as 55mm front tire, having to remove the fender from my rockshox gravel fork to fit. Seems to roll well enough on pavement, and great on gravel and rougher doubletracks. Appreciate the grip, and the large volume which enable lower pressures for greater offroad performance.

Versatile tire for the gnarly single track dirt, sand and loose bits but they're are soft.

Great tire for a a wide range of terrain although I burned through my rear pretty quickly. I found the compound to be pretty soft. No sidewall tears so that's good.

Good, grippy, fast

Good, grippy and fast. They do make a bit of a hum when riding on pavement, if that bothers you

No flats at Unbound

Phenomenal tires, ran front and rear at Unbound w ZERO flats/ issues. Very supple, fast feeling tread even on smooth gravel. Measured 52mm on 27mm internal width rims. Would highly recommend, especially after several Schwalbe pros ran these w great success at Unbound and Traka as well.

Running these in 45mm width. Both Front and rear on a Cervelo Aspero. Solid tire, hooks up extremely well on single track and some loose gravel. Easy to install, running tubeless with Stans. Overall excellent Schwalbe quality and light weight for todays demanding needs for gravel riding.
