A good head on its shoulders.

The NiteRider Lumina Micro 850 Front Light is smaller, lighter, and more compact than the original Lumina line, but just as powerful. Featuring 850 lumens in a compact profile, the Lumina Micro 850 uses the all new Collimator lens to produce a balanced, even, widespread beam. With its lightweight, compact construction, the Micro 850 is ideal for helmet mounted applications, but works just as well mounted on the handlebars with the included mount.

Features:

  • All new Collimator lens, produces a generous even widespread beam.
  • 4 Light Levels plus 1 Daylight Flash Mode.
  • FL1 Standard IP64, dust and water-resistant.
  • High output light using a CREE LED at 6000k.
  • Ultra lightweight 850 lumen light, only 130g including mount.
  • Compact design perfect for helmet mounting.
  • Low battery indicator.
  • USB rechargeable.

NiteRider has much better options
by zlee

Meh... It's not as bright as my much older NiteRider 700 nor is the battery as long lived. I bought it to mount on my helmet as it's smaller and lighter than the 700. It's got a more diffuse beam which would better suit a handlebar mount. But I'd rather use my old Taz 1200 on the bars for more light and battery. This one gathers dust in a drawer or used occasionally as a loaner.

I use Night Rider lights front and back. I find the front one is the most important for safety.

Those cars that come out from no where, like side streets and driveways have a much better chance of seeing you. Those can be very serious accidents.

It helps for left turns too.

Great light, compact with high visibility.

Daily rides strobing forward. I like the light but the it does not have the battery life I experienced with my 700 lumen Nightrider.

Very bright flash and hi constant modes. Cant comment on battery life yet, too soon to judge. The clamp is pretty large but solid and pretty easy to put onremove. Micro 850 is similar in operation to other NiteRider headlights. Lockout mode useful and easy.

I use this with a Lumina 350 on my helmet for night ridding on some pretty smooth flow trails and it works great. Very happy with this combo weight is great dont even know they are there. Use them on half settings so havent had any battery issues.
