The Toughest Tire In the Pro4 Lineup

The Michelin Pro4 Endurance Tire offers the ultimate combination of performance and durability. Taking over for the storied Krylion model, the Pro4 endurance has a lively ride quality and lightweight construction for superior performance on race day, along with the wear resistance and puncture protection of a hearty training tire.

The Endurance features a dual-compound tread with softer shoulders for incredible cornering grip even in wet weather as well as a longer wearing center strip. Bead-to-bead puncture protection directly beneath the rubber wards off flats. Rounding out the package is a 110 TPI casing that further combines supple ride quality with flat resistance.

Michelin understands that you don't just want a tire that reduces flats. You also need it to go fast. While the advanced protection brings with it a smidgeon more weight compared to the Pro4 Service Course, these tires are still light enough for the climbs. Michelin's BiCompound adds to the speed with a more rigid center for high durability, low rolling resistance, and just the right grip for stable braking on dry and wet roads. At the shoulder, a slightly stickier rubber provides extra grip for sweeping through corners, wet or dry.

Features:

  • Bead to bead puncture resistance for base mile durability
  • Maintains road feel despite added flat protection
  • Lighter than conventional hardshell endurance tires
  • Compound: BiCompound
  • 700c clincher tire
  • Puncture protection: HDProtection Bead2Bead
  • 110 TPI
  • Folding bead
  • Available in 23, 25, and 28c
  • Weight: 245g (25c)

    excellant tire

Michelin pro4 endurance tires are excellant !! I bought a pair of these and started to ride on them the beginining of October 2021. They are still on my wheels and have put 3000 miles on these tires, on rough rural roads in Texas, USA. They are just great tires. I was using the Conti Gator tires which are very good. I switch to the Michelin to check them out. These are my new go to tires. The Gators are good but seem to be heavier. I get better response from the Endurance tires and like their grippy feeling. I like them so much I have purchsed another pair of them. I will come back and update this as I feel they will last for quite some time. They are a good buy, I am pleased to say Michelin has come through again!

    Great road bike tire
    by BenK

The Michelin Pro4 Endurance is my favorite tire of all time. Excellent traction and low rolling resistance, decent puncture resistance. I was lucky to get them, because Michelin has discontinued them, and the replacement, "the power", according to reviews, does not have as good puncture resistance.

    Long lasting, puncture-resistant tire
    by Old Onara
    Denver

I've ridden this tire for several years totaling more than 20k miles. I've gotten as much as 4K miles out of a front tire, but typically about 2.5k miles. I've found these tires to be reasonably puncture resistant - about on a par with Continental Gatorskins. They ride comfortably and corner well.

This tire is durable and yet comfortable riding

I have been riding Michelin tires for over 25 years, When Michelin came out with the Endurance tire I tried them and really like them I very seldom have a flat and I get about 2,500 miles of wear. Last year I rode about 7,200 miles and had two flats. When the rear is worn out, i put the front tire on the back and a new tire on the front. They aren't as sticky as a pure race tire, but they last a lot longer and are much more resistant to road debris.

    Good tire
    by Psk410

I'm still very early into my usage of these tires and have not owned them before. Initially they feel very grippy given the lack of any tread pattern. They even picked up every spec of dust and hair on my garage floor on my way out for the first ride. I bought them for the reported combination of puncture resistance and low rolling resistance. I hadn't noticed them to roll any faster than my old gatorskins yet, but this could be my fault, as I think I need to run them a bit higher PSI. Got a good deal and quick delivery from Western. Very pleased with them.

    Great all rounder
    by Andrew
    Santa Barbara

I have put several hundred miles on these tires so far without any issues. Solid grip, no flats so far and ridden on plenty of rough surfaces and highway shoulders. Slightly heavier handling than some race tires but overall great for logging lots of miles with more than decent performance on the local descents.

Very good tire for the money

I changed to this tire from a pair of Schwalbes. They give me a more supple ride. I immediately noticed a big difference when it comes to road cracks. The Schwalbes give a harsh ride, but they probably last longer! I have gotten good wear out of the Michelin pro 3's, so I think the 4's should be the same.

Have been riding on these for the last month ~1000 miles. They are good! I Like the rolling resistance and the grip as well. I did get a pinch flat from a stone but the tires held up after inspection of them. I will update later after more miles on the Texas rural roads.

Mounted these tires on my Campagnolo Eurus wheelset and aired them up 100 front, 100 rear let them sit for a day then deflated the tires to 90 front, 95 rear went out for a nice 25-30 mile ride and these tires Ride Great!! Gotta put more miles on them to do a long term review.

    Love the ride.
    by Mandomatt

    I replaced 28mm Continental 4000s with the 25mm Pro4 Endurance and I am glad I did.

The ride is more supple, and so far no flats.

I got a flat at least every other 50+ mile ride with the Continentals, and they were such a hassle to remove from my DuraAce rims.

    Nice tire.
    by Richard
    Springfield , Pa

I bought it because the tire had a very good puncture resistance rating and a very low

Rolling resistance rating. No other tire rated this good. Rolling resistance is about 14.5.

Puncture resistance about 70. This ratio worked for me.

Thought I'd give these a try because I've had really good experience with Michelin tires on my motorcycle and car. Crazy reason I know. But let me tell you what. I gained a little speed with these and actually feel like I can tell they're faster and easier to get the power to the ground. Extremely happy and highly recommend.

I have used these tires for years, and have not had a flat tire. That said, I am careful about road debris and mostly ride in more rural areas vs city streets. I also wipe and inspect the tires after each ride, since I often ride alone. I always keep one or two tires in reserve in case a tire looks like it is wearing, or I am leaving on a bike tour. Cheers, and happy riding!

I've been riding Krylion, Krylion Carbon, Krylion II, and now Pro 4 endurance tires for years. I've never been disappointed about their puncture resistance or their milage claims. Great all round tires.
