The Steel Is Real

US made, grippy enough for most riding, looks nice, light weight. There are a lot of things one could say about the most classic and functional bottle cage out there — the King Cage Stainless Steel Bottle Cage.

Perhaps the best thing about stainless bottle cages is they don't mark up a bottle like aluminum cages and feature a timeless elegance over plastic or carbon cages. Did we also mention, you can bend it back if it gets knackered in a crash or loosens up over time? If you want the grippiest cage, try the King Cage Iris, they're stiffer and have more secure bottle retention. For touring and gravel bikes — steel is good.

Features:

  • 304 Stainless Steel won't mark up your bottle
  • Classic entry and exist
  • Can easily be bent back into shape and tightened for more grip
  • Hand-Made in Durango, CO
  • Mounts to standard bottle cage bosses
  • Weight: 48g

Damn fine bottle cage.

I haven't even considered another cage since getting my 1st King Cage. They hold the bottles secure without marring them and they're reasonably priced.

I have one of these on all of my bikes. Strong, no rusting and handmade. Holds the bottle snugly and looks great with the stainless steel color.

Good Cages
by Mark

These are now on a Ti & CF Serotta Otrott ... replacing the original Ti ones from 2005 that had finally failed. If you can tell the difference between these and the Ti iteration as I pass you by then you must have a PHD in metallurgy. I may have weighed the bike down by a couple grams but so what? I weighed my wallet down with a ton of dollars saved. Im thrilled.

Love the classic design. A durable, light weight bottle cage with exceptional bottle retention at a fantastic value. I have two on my 90's Trek road bike and they look superb.

Fantastic, durable, and beautiful cages. I put them on all the steel frames I braze. Not the lightest ever, but economical and the cleanest looks that don't distract.

I love these and will always have these on my bike but I can only justify the cost when they are on sale. They look great and don't marr up my bottles.

Everyone needs a bottle cage and this is the last one you should ever have to buy. Hollow tube construction is surprisingly light, extremely durable and attractive too.

Quality cage, US made, light weight.
by nils

I was tired of aluminum cages leaving my water bottles looking like they were ready for the trash heap. These nice stainless-steel cages don't leave marks, they hold the bottles well and are nice and light. A bonus is that they are made in the US. Sure, they cost more than cheap aluminum cages, but their quality is worth the extra price.

Simple, elegant, strong
by JSR

I chose the King stainless steel water bottle cage for my vintage steel bike. It matched the look and provides the functionality that King products are famous for.

The cage does everything a water bottle cage needs to do - holds the bottle well, is strong, and is very well made.

Bottle cages are simple things but when they don't work well or break, it's a problem. The King stainless steel cage should serve me well for many years.
