With a style and design that follows in the footsteps of helmets several times its price, plus state-of-the-art MIPS® protection, the Foray MIPS punches well above its weight class at a price that's hard to beat.

Using durable in-mold construction and Giro's fantastic Roc Loc® fit system, the Foray has features that until not too long ago were reserved for Giro's top of the line helmets, not to mention the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System that reduces rotational impact forces to the head in the event of a collision. Its 21 vents are strategically placed to maximize airflow and cooling, and thanks to the Super Fit™ sizes and EPS liner the Foray is also a very comfortable helmet. With a shape inspired by the premium Synthe helmet, the Foray MIPS also has a sleek and attractive look often reserved for much more expensive models.

The Giro Foray MIPS is available in various colors.

Sizes:

  • Small (20" - 21.75"/51cm - 55cm)
  • Medium (21.75" - 23.25"/55cm - 59cm)
  • Large (23.25" - 24.75"/59cm - 63cm)

The size chart was accurate. Comfortable helmet. Nice upgrade from my 12 year old Trek helmet. I like the minimalist MIPS harness.

Color stays bright
by Don J

Good fit and comfort. I usually buy high-vis colors for safety, my last helmet of this color faded in a few weeks, this one keeps its color for months

A Servicable Helmet with MIPS
by Dog''s Boy

New bike, new helmet. This one takes the place of my long-running attachment to an old model no longer made, likely because most Giro's now feature MIPS technology with allows the helmet to move around the skull to diffuse some of the energy of an impact.

I like this & my prior Giros as they are well ventilated, comfortable, a firm fit under the chin and are at a reasonable price point under $100. They also generally have at least one please color scheme, tho I'm not too picky and they can also be pretty outlandish.

My one ongoing complaint with GIro is that they make NO - zero - effort to make a place to properly attach a rear-view mirror. Not on this helmet nor any of the many others I've owned over the years. I have to make do with whatever rounded, irregular surface Giro provides where the mirror stem needs to be, and gorilla glue or duct tape it on. This is utterly stupid, I won't ride without a mirror. A mirror is one of the greatest safety features on a bike. By Giro appears to have no clue.

I do mostly road cycling with some cyclocross and this was a replacement helmet for one that quite a few years old. Although, it was inexpensive, it fits great and is very user friendly for adjustment. Looks great and does the job.

Good value MIPS helmet.

I've purchased several cycling helmets over the years. I liked the Giro Foray MIPS Helmet well enough to buy a second for myself. It is comfortable, the large works for me and the small works for my wife. It meets or exceeds recognized certifications. I recall looking at the consumer reports testing prior to purchasing the first set of helmets and didn't see any reason not to try the Foray MIPS.

Purchased an Adult Small for Son
by Christov10

I've had a Giro Foray for several years and have found it the best helmet in terms of fit, weight, adjustability, for the price, of any I've used. My son recently outgrew his Bontrager Solstice Youth helmet and I bought one of these in Small for him. The white helmet is highly visible, even at dusk, from close to a half mile away. Your kid only gets one noggin - keep it safe.

First of all, when it's on sale and I apply my points, it's practically free.

This helmet it very comfortable and adjustable. Decent styling. My first MIPS helmet. Men In Purple Suits.

Nothing I don't like about it.

First Mips

I decided to try the MIPS for better protection. The sweat pads are an upgrade from a base helmet and seem to be more durable. They dry quickly. I have stayed pretty cool riding in the Texas mountains this summer. Foray is a good value as well.

Awesome helmet for the money!

Light weight, MIPS technology and priced right. High performance without the heavy cost. Good selection of colors and light weight fit. I've ridden in 95 degree weather and it has kept me cool. I recommend this helmet.

Light, comfy, sharp-looking
by Anonymous

Im really satisfied with this helmet. Its definitely an upgrade from my first helmet (also Giro but less expensive). I feel that my head is protected and the white helmet makes me a bit more visible. Id buy again.

Great value on a top quality helmet
by 2019 Atmospheric River

The shape of Giro helmets fit my head the best. The S-brand drops forward and makes your head look boxy. Speaking of looks, the highlight yellow matches my Gore Bike Wear Active clothing that I rely on to stay dry and visible to traffic. I like the additional MIPS feature. Adds a little weight as I am coming from a Limar ultra-light, but my neck hasn't felt a difference.

Fits great and easy to adjust. Have not landed on my head yet so can't say exactly how protective it is.

Very comfortable helmet at a good price.

My first MIPS-technology helmet, bought to replace a cracked helmet from a recent crash. Purchased at a significant discount from MSRP. It is not racy looking but is exactly what I wanted. Subsequently bought one for my wife, who also likes hers. Plenty of ventilation, fine in hot weather. Best thing about it is that it is the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. Bought in yellow color, and get comments about how much better we are seen than others, when on the shaded bike paths.

best inexpensive helmet!

I've been a Giro Aeon wearer for years. my everyday town helmetmtb helmet was Propero II (seriously terrible wind noise above 15 mph! I'd give the Propero a negative 3)

When I smashed the Propero mtb'ing I replaced it with a $60 Lazer Tonic. Ewwww bulky buckle, weird strapping hate it!

Other than being on the hefty side compared to my $200 road helmet this Foray is an extremely good buy. Love the roc Loc fit system! the helmet doesn't look stupid, or racy which is what I wanted for towncasual riding. the buckle is half the size of a cheap Lazer helmet.

Even better was between sale price and VIP credit I got this Foray for a steal!

the bad..... the Foray will force me to ditch my Aeon and buy a Giro Sythe now.
