I've never had a seat with a 'pressure relief channel' and I have yet to notice any difference. This seat is longer than my previous Fizik, which I literally wore out..I had scrubbed off the finish on both sides. The added length allows me to push back and stretch my back out on long rides, which I find very helpful.

A firmer saddle that does the job.

This saddle is firmer than my previous super gushy Arione tri so it took a few rides to feel real comfortable on it. That said, the channel is brilliant. I can ride the rollers seated for 20 min and nothing falls asleep. It's light and not a bank breaker. I love this saddle.

A nice saddle...sensitive to angle adjustment

So I've tried a few saddles over the years. Selle Italia Turbomatic, San Marco Rolls, San Marco Titanio 200, Fizik Arione CX, San Marco Concor and a couple of others that I can't remember right now. None were perfect but the San Marco Rolls was probably the best.

The Fizik Arione Versus saddle I'm riding now is at least as comfortable as anything I've ridden and maybe more so. After fiddling with the set back and angle I have discovered that it works best for me angled slightly nose down. It's the first saddle that I have ever set up that way. I'm not sure if the groove does that much but it's there and the saddle's comfortable so I'll take it.

Quality wise I have no complaints. It looks and feels like a very well made saddle. Time will tell.

It's not the lightest thing out there but then neither am I.

Over all a real nice saddle, not extraordinary but real nice. I think it's a decent value and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

The Selle San Marco Aspide with hollow cro-moly rails which came with my Jamis Xenith Pro was a fairly light weight saddle, but I could never get comfortable on it and also suffered from the dreaded butt rash. There is nothing wrong with the Selle brand, as I have a Selle saddle on my Opus mountain bike and it is extremely comfortable on 3 hour trail rides. The Fizik brand had so many good reviews on the various cycling blogs and websites that I visited, I decided to give them a try.

Nice long seat with just enough padding in the right places for my 50 rear end.

The styling of this seat is a standout. I have only ridden this seat on 30-40 mile rides so far but it is more comfortable than the Arione without the channel. I owned the Arione previously and loved it, but on long rides it can be irritating...but not uncomfortable. The Arione is awesome for climbing...just sit back and chug up the hill.

I have been riding the arione for the last 5 years and thought to try the cut out. It is taking a while to get the sing-flex broke into my stroke but it provides good support and no hot spots.

Great saddle. I race master races and I found this seat comfortable on the hoods, in the drops and on the tops. No numbness even when leaning over the bars. I tried the new selle itailia turbomatic with the cutout and the specialized romin and this seat is the best. I recommend tilting the seat slightly nose up, as Johnny Cobb suggest for his seats.

Goodbye Numbness

I have been using the Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow Saddle because I like narrower saddles and regularly spend many hours on the bike. I started to look for something else because my Gel Flow was spend after only 4500 miles and although I was very comfortable while on the bars or hoods, I still had issues of numbness with long stays in the drops.

I chose the Fizik Arione VS due to its similar size and relief channel that runs the full length of the saddle.

My choice was a good one. This saddle is as comfortable at the end of a century as it was on mile 1. I have NO numbness, regardless of hand position, and it seems to wear well (no scuffs after 1500 miles)

The only thing fizik could do to improve this model is offer it in some more colors. My bike looks best with a white saddle, but I love this one so much the black will have to do.

I have been using the (Three) Arione saddle for the past 4 years on three different race bikes. The very first ride I went on I could feel a significant change in comfort, as well as firmness to the outer edges of the saddle. I had a sense of more power on each stroke, as well as higher degrees of comfort moving forward towards the horn for big gear push...I highly recomend the saddle, especially if you currently enjoy the Arione in the regular style...Les
