The Castelli Men's Competizione 2 Short is made to do everything right without overdoing anything. This short incorporates as much technology as possible from Castelli's top-of-the-line pro-level race shorts at a more accessible price. And although it's certainly capable of weekend racing, it's also a great comfort performance short even if you never pin on a number.
The majority of the Competizione 2 Short features Vortex textured fabric. It uses a wide, stretchy leg gripper with integrated silicone to ensure a comfortable, secure fit.

I have always loved Castelli. Fit and comfort was the best. Not any more. I have found Sugoi Evolution shorts to be better. Better leg gripper, nice wide band at top (vs a much narrower band of elastic that bunches way easier). The pad in the Sugoi shorts are much better. I still enjoy my Castelli shorts but i'll take my Sugoi any day, especially longer rides, over the Castelli shorts.
