Super lightweight bottle cage
by Tobiwon

Yes Im weight weenie, and I love these cages and put them on all my bikes, they are super-strong, slim and attractive looking. (Pro tip, I find if I put a little armor-all on the entry I can re-stow the bottle even quicker in a pinch, like when a friend decides to sprint when Im taking a drink.

4th ride, both cages cracked
by GregS

Both bottle cages cracked at the shoulder of the curve at top. Four rides in, both failing during a metric century ride. Theyre failing at lamination point so they are not a one piece layup/mold. And they are simply designed too tight for the common water bottle. I have an older, very very similar carbon fiber version, made by the brand Clear (sadly no longer available), that have not failed in 6 years of use, and they fit the bottles better. Based on comments here about the Blackburns, I dont have faith. I want them to work, to last, and since theyre are under warranty will give it one more try.

Break easily but they have a lifetime warranty.

I bought two of them about a year ago. So far I have broken 3 of them. They have replaced all 3 quickly under warranty after I send a picture of the break. They keep assuring me that this is not common. As long as they keep sending new ones I'm ok with that. I do use Abloc water bottles which seem to be less stressful on the cages because of the tapered shape. The cages do hold the bottles really tightly.

Nice & Light but Fragile

Bought two in May of 2022 for my Ibis Exie. The idea is great but, like another reviewer, mine also cracked at the top two arms just above the mounting bolt. I was hoping for it to last but 4 months isn't so good. Now, we'll see how good the lifetime warranty is!

One of the lightest carbon cage, still does not feel flimsy. Holding the camelback bottles strongly.

Replace my old Specialized Rib Cages when I was rebuilding my bike. These came in @ 14 g vs. 16 g claimed weight. I use specialized purist bottles and these bottle cages keep them in place.

It grips the bottles so tightly that with it mounted on the down tube, it broke in two mid ride.
