I got this to help my wife change the typically over-tight tires that are being sold nowadays. We were mainly concerned with mounting road bike tires, because good old plastic tire levers will generally still work well to get them off the rim. This lever worked for mounting tires, but it requires squeezing the tool together forcefully, to hold the little tab firmly under the tire bead, while rotating the tool to pull the bead over the rim. If you don't do this, the tab will slip out before you can pull the bead over and onto the rim.
I needed to cut down a few sets of carbon handlebars and thought it would be easier to do it at home with the right tools. I bought a Park tool Saw guide and this tungsten saw blade and went to work. The first bars were a try it and see, and to my surprise I had no issues. The other bars went fine after that. Just make sure you use tape to mask where you want to cut. I used red electrical tape because it;s easier to see when the bars are in the saw guide.

Easy to set up and use. Add the wax and allow to melt and insert the chain on the provided wire rope. Allow the wax to work its way into the chain and then allow it to "drip dry". The chain cools quickly and is ready to install on the bike. I prefer to wax a couple chains at a time which enables me to have one ready to install while the bike is still on the stand when I'm doing my periodic maintenance.
While the crock pot method works, Silca's waxing system is much easier and faster. Cleanup is simpler especially if you're not having to return the crock pot to the kitchen for a future meal!
A waxed chain doesn't attract the dirt and grim of a oiled chain, and runs more smoothly. The frequency of chain maintenance is less for a waxing than oiling.
