Was looking for some photochromatic glasses for riding in less than full on sunlight. These are great. Super comfortable, fit under my helmet perfectly, and adapt to light well. With no UV light these are very slightly tinted in a red mirror. With some sunlight these do get darker but not as dark as a full on set of sunglasses would.
These have quickly become my go-to sunglasses.
Only negative is that they do tend to fog up quickly when stationary but they are well ventilated and that quickly dissipates as soon as you start riding.
For the price these are great. I started cycling a year ago and picked up tifosi crit because I couldn't bring myself to spend what I saw some of these high end glasses going for. After I started to cycle more I needed to upgrade as the crits would slide down my nose and I would keep having to push them back up. Also when it would start to get dark my vision was compromised. Lastly when I upgraded to a Kask helmet the part of the crit frames that went over my ears would hit the helmet padding causing a fitting problem. I do not have any of those issues with the sledge. I took a ride after work this month which had me getting back well after it had gotten dark. I was able to see like I had nothing on. When cycling and it's sunny out my field of vision again looks as if I have nothing on but yet the sun is shaded well. I've read some of the reviews for the higher end sunglasses where people say they are so comfortable that they forget they are on. I can't say that for these but they are plenty comfortable for me and I have a decent sized bridge on my nose. I've never had a $200+ pair of sunglasses so I would guess they need to be uber comfortable for that price. I think for the price these are great and I've gotten a few compliments on them also. Feel pretty good about this buy.
