I had an old gel version of this saddle on my bike for six years before it got too beat up and I had to replace it. That design didn't have the nice finished look that newer versions have, which affected its durability. I think this new one will last longer. It's just as comfortable as my old one. It's on my roadcommuter bike, which I mostly ride around town in regular clothes (no chamois). Very comfortable even for impromptu long-ish rides. I bought my first one to replace an expensive fancy Italian saddle that was very uncomfortable.
Bought this for my daughter, whose 10-year-old saddle finally wore out. The Terry is very well designed and made with quality. Slightly shorter than some saddles but easily adjusted. Watch for it to go on sale for best buy.
Although my partner would not subscribe herself as a weight weenie, she can appreciate a bike she can carry up and down stairs. The cromoly rails provides a great value and yet reasonable weight over some if the monster size women's saddles out there. Her only complaint is they have seemed to have discontinued the ones with purple accents, so girly looks are important!
This is for my daughters' new bike she will be getting for Xmas. I am building the bike. She has this same saddle and she loves it so why mess with it.
As we all know, saddles preferences vary from individual to individual. We've tried plenty and this is the one my wife finds most comfortable on long rides.
I ride my Trek 4.0 hybrid around town, mostly for errands with cargo on the back. Trips range between 5 and 35 miles round trip, sometimes with stops along the way. I haven't done a nice, long pleasure ride on the new saddle, but so far it is very comfortable, and the price was great - love it!
I built an all road style bike from the frame up for my wife last year. We're in the third stage of finding a more comfortable saddle for her and based on her feedback this one is more comfortable. As the description states, this is a very popular saddle and that probably has to do with the fact that Terry emphasized comfort over performance with this saddle. That seems to be more in line with what my wife expects from riding her bike and so, this has been a good choice.
My wife just started riding road bike recently, but the bike she has had a mans saddle on it when she got it. After a little research, I bought this Terry saddle for her. The fact that Terry has a 30 day return policy made it easy try the saddle without risk. My wife loves the new saddle and will upgrade to the higher end Butterfly when this one wears out.
