I've owned multiple Shimano, Specialized s-works, Lake and Quoc bike shoes. I really didn't think anything could top the older s-phyre I had in fit and aesthetics. After having these for about a month I do believe Shimano did an outstanding job on the 903. Hands down my favorite cycling shoe ever with great power transfer and ZERO hotspots, which is really rare for my odd shaped feet (Have a wide toe box plus the outside/anterior joints that protrude outwards). Very happy my need was timed with the latest model release, not the least of which is due to the all white color way (no black or champagne colored heel). Only thing up for longer term debate is the fabric on the middle of the toe area and how clean it will keep. The prior model did not have this, but I can definitely say these are more breathable for it!
Ive had to go through a run of bike shoes and finally spent the money on these. They are the most comfortable shoes Ive owned - and one of the most comfortable shoes Ive owned, full stop.
The wide size fits my foot perfectly. The shoe is otherwise true to size.
Very lightweight, good ventilation and ultra stiff, but not uncomfortable.
The heel retention is incredible - yet somehow no discomfort or chafing. A great design.
The price is high, but commensurate with other high end shoes out there.
Brilliant shoes, highly recommended.
I have a Wide foot, so my options are limited. Wider than regular, but not silly wide like some brands. Similar to my Specialized W MTB shoes. Quality seems pretty stellar and I expect I'll have these for a long time!
