I recently decided to move away from bibs and found this great product to help in that transition. These worked great during my last multi-day bikepacking adventure. They do not sag at the waistline while riding and stay snug in all areas just as bibs.
I have ridden all ends of the Pearl Izumi liner shorts for last decade, this was the first cargo variant I have purchased. I have worn size L PI Bibs and Liner Shorts for 20 years so I did not even try them before cutting off the tags... Big mistake as these are small -- not too small but close. I suspect these are from a new supplier and run smaller. Try before you commit is my advice from experience.
These have the better pad, good for longer rides and the cargo pocket is nice I guess.
Fit true to size. Comfortable padding and bonus extra pockets ideal for ID, CC and cash. Bought a couple pairs, were perfect for daily cycling on vacation. Pockets held ID, CC and cash with total peace of mind.
Got an XL-i have a 34-35 waist, do the math for yourself. Fits well, the pocket is actually a welcome feature, used it the first time by mistake but realized it is very convenient.
I can ride without concern of chafe or sore spots
I like PI products. Always a good bang for the buck. I just could not get comfortable in these. The size was correct but I found they chafed without using a cream.
