Undecided

I'm undecided whether these wheels are worth the expense. I agree they ride and handle nice but there are a lot of wheels that do that for a lot less money. The idea of tubeless tires sounds great but these don't work the same way your car tires work. For these to work as designed you have to insert a sealer in a syringe which is provided. However if you ever need to do any tire work in the future this will be a real mess to work with. My car tires don't need a sealer to hold air. I also had no idea the beads on these tires was so stiff. I did try to take one tire off the rim before I put in the sealer and broke 2 tire levers doing it. It will be a real problem changing these tires in the future. So I'll wait and see how these wheels hold up versus the wheels I have on my other bikes whether they are worth the expense and hassle.

Nice & light, but some caveats

I've had the Ksyrium Pro wheelset for about 2 months and ride them several times a week on road rides.

Pros They are very light, seem quite strong, roll very smoothly, and are nicely trued. They come with Mavic tires already mounted and taped, and the only main task is to add the sealant that also comes with the wheels.

Cons I'm not a big fan of the Mavic tires that come with the wheels. They are 25c but a little narrow. Not as confident with the grip. And I got a front puncture from some tiny glass that spewed sealant all over the road and my bike. I changed the rear tire to a regular clincher (continental 4 season), but it was extremely difficult to mount, and I'm just hoping I don't get a flat!

It's my first experience with tubeless. I liked the ride and love the low weight but the hassle of sealant and the fact that it's so difficult to mount regular clinchers lead me to think I should have picked different wheels.

Terrific all around wheel and tire set

I got these to replace my Zipp Firecrest (404 rear303 front) clincher wheelset on my S-works Tarmac because I wanted something that would actually stop when wet. After 2,000 miles I'm delighted with these wheels. They're actually lighter than the Zipps and they just feel like they spin up faster. The braking is terrific even in the rain. The Mavics are also stiffer than most other wheels, so the handling feels very secure and controlled. The tubeless tires inflated to 87psi are very comfortable and absorb minor road chatter. They're noticeably more comfortable-especially when you get on chip-seal. And the wheelset includes everything you need to go tubeless-tires, sealant, injector, valves, and even a valve core tool. It's a great deal on a great wheelset.

I'll Never Use Tubes Again

Easy to set up tubeless. Stiff. Good braking. The only downside is the narrow rim.

Durable and lightweight wheels for training rides

I bought these for bad weather riding and training rides and have been very impressed with them. They feel stiff like my carbon wheels, but the braking is substantially better. The tubeless setup was easy and I really like the new Mavic UST tubeless tires as they feel like you are riding tubulars when you keep them at 80psi or so.
