If you have a bike computer that is a Garmin or Ant+ these are must have items. I needed the speed sensor, and wasn't 100% sure about the cadence sensor but bought it anyway. Itt was a great purchase. Both devices have improved my riding by giving accurate feedback. They are very simple to connect to the bike computer, I even purchased a second set to use on my MTB so i get the same data no matter which bike i'm riding (road or MTB)
I've had this on my road bike (with Edge 1030) for 1 year and recently it started reporting speed in a "bouncing around" fashion: +/- 3-4 mph every second or so. Battery was changed and I used a voltmeter to ensure the replacement battery was good (previous battery still measured as good but replaced anyway). I switched between data recording "smart" and "every second" but the problem did not resolve. I turn it off when riding outside since the GPS is available but for inside riding this is bothersome. I also tried "auto" and "manual" for wheel size but the erratic reporting was still there regardless. The average speed at ride's end appears accurate so there's that. Just a nuisance.
I installed the new speed sensors on my new carbon wheel set. It is a much safer and easier installation from the older style sensor, which actually damaged my carbon rim. It installs very easily as well.
Got it for a new (n+1) bike. Installed, it works. Simple.
I'm gradually winding my way into the new century with my first wireless Garmin setup, and I've been accumulating various widgets to that end. I have these paired to a little Garmin Edge 25 and it works fine. I also have a Varia 2 in the mix and it all works. The only caveat is that I have to start riding before I turn on the Head unit and it then recognizes all 3 devices.
i love my sensors! everything easily sync'd with my garmin 530 edge and with zwift, so now i have great data about my cycling performance. i try not to focus on my stats too hard, but it is really interesting to see your performance changes throughout a season. i set this up by myself in less than 15 minutes before an early morning group ride... so i'd say it's pretty easy.
Using the Speed and Cadence sensors with my Garmin Vivoactive 4. Works as intended and gives accurate numbers compared to my previous Cat-eye sensors. One of my straps for the cadence sensor tore after a few rides, may be due to my shoes rubbing against it.
Super easy to install and connects just fine to my wahoo. Syncs to training peaks and strava just fine. Have used on some technical trails on my gravel bike and keeps on going like the energizer bunny. Definitely recommend!
I've still yet to buy a cycling computer, and use my Garmin FR 235 for both cycling and running. I got these to better measure my speed and cadence and have been super happy with the metrics it provides.
These are great. Get a new bike, get another set of sensors.
Keep in mind Garmin doesnt auto assign a bike to the sensor in each bike. Boo.
Easy to install on bike. Works great.
I had the old magnetic style garmin, and as many of you know that was easy to knock off kilter, or even get fouled in spokes if bumped.
This has none of those problems at all. It synched quite easily to my old Forerunner 310 xt and my Garmin Insticnt. It also worked with blue tooth to synch for using with Rouvy app over the winter.
Nice little upgrade and nothing is sticking out of the bike and you don't have to worry about things lining up and losing data.
This is a great sensor set for getting your bike paired up with a Garmin GPS sensor. I have ordered these kits for each of my bikes and share 1 Garmin 830 GPS device between the 3 bikes with no difficulties switching between sensors. I also use these with Zwift to pair up on my trainer.
I have cadence and speed sensor on trainer and road bike. Both function well.
I feel this version works much better than the first version
With all of my stay-mounted Garmin dual sensors now failed, this is the only Garmin option. I wish these weren't so bulky and ugly. They work fine and can be easily transferred. Garmin should repair or replace the dual sensor parts instead of keep making more electronic waste.
These sensors are easier to install, very accurate and less hassle to change from bike to bike if needed.
OEM parts and work like a gem!
Had these features on my previous bike computer. These sensors with no magnets work well
Three bikes and one computer. I have installed this bundle on each of my bikes. All I have to do is mount the computer on the bike I want to ride that day and the computer syncs with the sensors and I am ready to go. They seem accurate and the battery is good for a year.
