As an Aliante user, I was looking forward to owning this saddle. However, this saddle departs from the Aliante template enough that is should have a different name. The saddle is flatter than the traditional Aliante, meaning that it puts more pressure on the sit bones. Additionally, the foam is very hard, especially compared to my 2 older Aliantes. So beware. I figured that since I've used Aliante saddles for over a decade that this would work for me; and so I didn't keep the box and am now stuck with it. It's not a bad saddle in terms of construction, and the weight came-in around 179g. But the hard foam and flatter profile (less lateral drop-off) made this saddle uncomfortable compared to others in the Aliante lineup.
I bought this to replace an Aliante Gamma in both the 145mm and 155mm sizes. Nice saddle but doesn't fit like the original.
Very satisfied with the saddle from Fizik. Shape fits well ergonomically. Makes long rides a breeze.
Needs to be professionally fit so as to utilize its full potential.
